in my family, when one turns 18 years of age, all the family and friends gather around to wish upon them the best energy and the best years to come. we normally do it with the classic fitinhas do bonfim; we tie the bracelet on the birthday person and wish them the best.
here, for this project that would be the last stopo before my adult life began i decided to recreate the tradition, filled with what i want and wish upon myself for the rest of my life: brasilidade.
the fitinhas da brasilidade consist in always carrying with me the aspect of being ultra brazilian on my path, and to never forget that that's what i'm shaped of. with a vocabulary of super brazilian concepts i wished upon me and my colleagues a lot of passion, rythm, care and the most powerful energy so all their wishes can be attained. it's about this rite of passage and how even though it's extremely brazilian, it can also be universally appreciated; it's about sharing one's culture and realizing it can fit anywhere.
